Delegation from Ukmergė attended the Fountain Festival in Germany
On 8-12 June, a delegation led by the Mayor of Ukmergė District Municipality (hereafter referred to as the Municipality), Darius Varnas, attended the Fountain Festival in Bad Langensalza (Germany), a long-standing Partner City of Ukmergė
The Mayor was accompanied to Germany by Inga Pračkailė, Director of the Municipal Administration, and Darius Paškevičius, Head of the Information Technology and Public Relations Department. The delegation travelled in a Mercedes-Benz Vito Tourer minibus driven by Julius Eimontas.
Volker Pioler, Vice-President of the Bad Langensalza Municipality's Partner Cities Community, and Lina Kionig, a Lithuanian living in Bad Langensalza, accompanied the delegation from Ukmergė during the Fountain Festival in Unstrut-Hainich, Thuringia.
The delegation attended the opening ceremony and took part in the procession, which included a ride in a festive bus.
Later, the shooting kings of the shooting clubs "Gilde 1592" and "Drei Türme" were announced.
Delegation from Ukmergė also took part in the opening of the Town Hall Gallery "Impressions from Partner Cities". They viewed photos from Bad Nauheim, Oostkamp and Bad Langensalza and watched a musical performance by pupils of the district music school.
The delegation toured the Old Town, visited the thematic rose and Japanese gardens, walked the treetop trails in the National Park and signed in the guest book.
The delegation of Ukmergė brought a gift for our city - a floribunda rose "Rosenstadt Bad Langensalza" (City of Roses of Bad Langensalza), which will be planted in a rose garden at the Health Park next to the Ukmergė Hospital.
