Humanitarian aid shipment is sent to Korosten, Ukraine

On 19 August, a humanitarian aid shipment was handed over to Oleg Golovchuk, Head of the Heat Technological Equipment Plant, Korosten City Councillor, and Leonid Yakubovsky, Head of the Utilities Service, the representatives of the Ukrainian partner city Korosten, who a few days ago brought a metal bull as a gift to Ukmergė from Ukraine.

It consisted of long shelf-life foodstuffs such as flour, cereals, sugar, canned vegetables, canned meat and other products. It also included hygiene products, women's, men's and children's clothing and footwear.

The package was handed over to the Ukrainians by the Mayor of Ukmergė District Municipality Rolandas Janickas, the Municipality's inter-institutional cooperation coordinator Edita Balžekienė, the Director of the Public Enterprise Youth Leisure Centre Daiva Pranskevičienė, and the Centre's accountant Gertrūda Krikštaponienė.

The humanitarian aid shipment is expected to arrive in Korosten at the beginning of the next week.
