Representatives of the Hungarian Embassy in Lithuania visited the municipality

Representatives of the Embassy of Hungary in the Republic of Lithuania- Deputy Head of Mission and Consul Gabor Nagy and Economic Attaché Peter Schmidt, accompanied by the Chairman of the Ukmergė City Community, the founder of the Lithuanian Santarvės Foundation, Julius Kazėnas, visited the Ukmergė Municipality on May 3. Here they had an opportunity to meet with the Mayor of the Municipality, Mr. Darius Varnas.

The Mayor spoke about Ukmergė and its foreign partners, including the Hungarian city of Kiskunmajsa. The participants of the meeting presented their activities and pointed out that tourism and sports are areas where cooperation could be developed in the future.

Other relevant issues were also discussed, and discussions on foreign policy issues were made.

This meeting will provide an opportunity for future communication and cooperation. It was agreed to share ideas and experiences in the future.

The guests also visited the Ukmergė Local History Museum, the Children's Nursery School "Žiogelis", the Ukmergė School of Technologies and Business, the Vilnius Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Handicrafts, Ukmergė branch, as well as the exhibition of the unique folk music instruments operating in the village of Dainava, etc.
